De onderhavige overheidsopdracht betreft de modernisering en uitbreiding van de infrastructuur voor de veilige en conforme stalling van de Deployable Fuel Distribution Capacity (DFDC)-containers. De bestaande loodsen B73/8, B73/9 en B73/10 worden afgebroken en een nieuwe overkapping van circa 1.000 m² met inkuiping wordt gebouwd, geschikt voor de opslag van 12 DFDC’s. Daarnaast blijft loods B73/7 behouden en wordt deze structureel gerenoveerd voor de opslag van jerrycans en andere POL-producten (Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants). Het project omvat eveneens de aanpassing van de weginfrastructuur, riolering, afwatering, brandveiligheid, verlichting en elektriciteitsvoorzieningen, met als doel een veiligere circulatie en efficiëntere manipulatie van de niet-rolbare DFDC-containers mogelijk te maken.
