Der Zweckverband Breitband Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald als Auftraggeber plant die Errichtung eines NGA-Netzes (FTTB) auf einem Teil der Gemarkung der Verbandsgemeinde Lenzkirch, Ziel ist die Beseitigung dort noch vorhandener weißer Flecken. Das Upgrade des Bundes für graue Flecken soll dabei zur Anwendung kommen. Insgesamt sind für den Ausbau des NGA-Netzes (FTTB) Investitionen in einer Gesamthöhe von rund 24.469.025,21 EUR netto geplant. Für den Ausbau des Backbones sind Investitionen in einer Höhe von rund 1.749.008,00 EUR netto geplant. Es liegt eine FTTB-Masterplanung für die gesamte Verbandsgemeinde vor. Mit Grundlage von Angaben zu Wohn- und Nutzeinheiten (Stand 2017) wurde mit einem Faserkonzept (1 Fs/Gebäude und 2 Fs´/Wohneinheit) auf Zuführungs- und Verteilebene eine flächendeckende FTTB-Infrastruktur geplant. Darauf basierend wurde ein Ausbaukonzept mit anschließender Antragsstellung für die Förderung erarbeitet. Der bewilligte Antrag stellt den Umfang des Ausbaus des NGA Net
