Die Stadt Troisdorf hat Ende 2023 einen EA-Vertrag mit einer Laufzeit von drei Jahren, sowie einer vom Hersteller eingeräumten Verlängerungsoption um ein weiteres Jahr für die Nutzung von Microsoft-Produkten abgeschlossen. Da beabsichtigt ist, die Verlängerungsoption nicht in Anspruch zu nehmen, endet der Vertrag zum 31.12.2026. Im Vorfeld der Ausschreibung wurden die vorhandenen Microsoft-Lizenzen und die IT-Infrastruktur der Stadt Troisdorf überprüft und der bestehende sowie zukünftige Bedarf ermittelt. Es ist notwendig, die bestehenden Software Assurance-Leistungen für die einzelnen Microsoft-Produkte des bisherigen EA-Vertrages fortzusetzen und zudem Lizenzen mit Software Assurance mit Beginn der Laufzeit des neuen Vertrages zu erwerben.
