Project 23.294/1 - Essen, optimalisatie overstort Essen. De opdracht omvat de aanpassing en uitbreiding van een bestaande overstortconstructie te Essen, gelegen in agrarisch waardevol gebied. De overstort wordt hydraulisch en constructief aangepast (o.a. hogere drempelpeilen) en uitgebreid met bijkomende constructiedelen. Bestaande onderdelen worden plaatselijk afgebroken en vervangen, en bestaande grote rioleringsleidingen worden tijdens de werken gevrijwaard/plaatselijk aangepast en nadien opnieuw aangesloten op de vernieuwde overstort. Daarnaast wordt de overstort uitgerust met wandafsluiters, waaronder een real-time control (RTC) gestuurd element met bijhorende sturing (sturingskast). Ten slotte worden de nodige maatregelen genomen om de installatie vlot bereikbaar en onderhoudbaar te maken via een toegangsweg in halfverharding.
