Voor het behouden van de vereiste uitbatingsvergunning van woonzorgcentrum Heyvis is het noodzakelijk dat een positief brandweeradvies wordt afgeleverd door de bevoegde brandweerzone. In functie hiervan dienen bijkomende maatregelen uitgevoerd te worden inzake brandveiligheid en brandcompartimentering binnen het woonzorgcentrum. Uit een bijkomend technisch onderzoek naar de bestaande compartimentering en de conformiteit van verschillende doorgangen en compartimenten bleek dat diverse aanpassingen noodzakelijk zijn om te voldoen aan de opgelegde voorwaarden inzake rookverspreiding, compartimentering en automatische sluiting van branddeuren. De werken omvatten onder andere: • het plaatsen van vrijloopdeursluiters op kamerdeuren; • het vervangen en aanpassen van verschillende branddeuren; • het voorzien van automatische sluitingen gekoppeld aan de branddetectie; • het aanpassen van deuren aan de cafetaria; • het plaatsen van deurmagneten; • het realiseren van een bijkomende EI60-brandwand
