Cos'è L’IPCEI ME/CT, o IPCEI Microelettronica 2, è il secondo importante progetto di comune interesse europeo (IPCEI) sulla microelettronica e le tecnologie della comunicazione che ha come obiettivo la promozione della ricerca, lo sviluppo e l'innovazione – compresa la prima applicazione industriale – dei comparti per accelerarne la trasformazione verde e digitale, in particolare: • creando soluzioni innovative di microelettronica e comunicazione; • sviluppando sistemi elettronici e metodi di produzione efficienti sotto il profilo energetico e a basso consumo di risorse. Si prevede che l'IPCEI favorirà il progresso tecnologico in molti settori, tra cui le comunicazioni (5G e 6G), la guida autonoma, l'intelligenza artificiale e l'informatica quantistica. Sosterrà inoltre la transizione verde delle imprese attive nella produzione, nella distribuzione e nell'uso di energia.
