Die Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung vergibt 2027 zum 19. Mal die Alexander von Humboldt-Professuren (AHP), den höchstdotierten internationalen Forschungspreis Deutschlands. Der Preis wird an weltweit führende und im Ausland tätige Forscher*innen aller Disziplinen verliehen. Die Auszeichnung soll den Preisträger*innen ermöglichen, langfristig zukunftsweisende Forschung an deutschen Hochschulen durchzuführen und ist mit bis zu 10 Millionen Euro dotiert. Das Preisgeld ist für die Finanzierung der ersten sieben Jahre in Deutschland bestimmt. Die Alexander von Humboldt-Professur wird vom Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt finanziert. Für die Preisverleihung und die Medienarbeit sollen Filme, Fotos und Footage zu den Preisträger*innen der Alexander von Humboldt-Professur 2027 produziert werden.
