Im Zusammenhang mit der Forschung des Instituts für Elektrifizierte Luftfahrtantriebe an elektrischen und hybrid-elektrischen Flugantriebssystemen ist die Beschaffung eines LT-PEM Brennstoffzellensystems geplant. Dieses soll eine elektrische Nennleistung von mindestens 100 kW für die Durchführung diverser Versuche innerhalb der HepCo-Versuchsumgebung zur Verfügung stellen.
