Der Landkreis Grafschaft Bentheim möchte die Standorte der Berufsschulen in Nordhorn zum "Campus Berufliche Bildung Grafschaft Bentheim (CBB)" entwickeln. Der gesamte CBB soll für ein hochwertiges und attraktives Ausbildungs- und Bildungsangebot im Landkreis stehen, die berufliche Bildung als Zukunfts- und Standortfaktor nachhaltig stärken und seine Wirkung regional, aber auch überregional entfalten. In diesem Zusammenhang soll nach dem Neubau eines Lernforums der Neubau eines Innovationszentrums als weiteres Leuchtturmprojekt eine besondere Signalwirkung für die weitere Entwicklung des CBB in Nordhorn entfalten. Es soll ein Innovationszentrum entstehen, das Raum für modernste Techniken wie 3D-Druck, Künstliche Intelligenz und "Augmented Reality" bieten soll. Eine zentrale Rolle soll dabei die Methode Building Information Modelling (BIM) einnehmen, die insbesondere Handwerk und Mittelstand die Möglichkeit bieten soll, Planungen effizienter und gewerkeübergreifend an digitalen Modellen
