Im Projekt geht es insbesondere um den Umbau der Verkehrsanlage mit Anpassung der Bahnsteighöhe von 76 cm auf 96 cm ü. SO und einer Bahnsteigbaulänge von ca. 210 m, die vollständige barrierefreie Erschließung der Verkehrsstation einschließlich taktiler Wegeleitung, dynamischer Fahrgastinformation, Aufzügen und Treppen, die Herstellung der Personenunterführung in Lage und Funktion des Bestandsbauwerks zur Anbindung von Bahnhofsvorplatz, P+R-Anlage, Bushaltestellen und Fahrradabstellanlage.
