Before you switch it on
How does Uptime Monitor know my site is down?
It requests the page you choose and expects an answer within 15 seconds with a status from 200 to 399. If that fails, it tries again 20 seconds later; only a second failure opens an incident and sends the e-mail.
Why do I have to prove the site is mine?
So quiescence.eu only ever sends requests to sites whose owners asked for them. You upload a one-line text file to the site's root, and it stays valid until you remove it.
What does the free plan include?
One site checked every 24 hours, with alerts to your account e-mail. No card is needed.
Can I monitor more than one site?
Yes, on any paid plan. Each extra site costs €0.50 a month (€6 a year), and each extra alert e-mail €0.20 a month, with no upper limit.
What happens to my data?
Successful checks are deleted after 48 hours. Failed checks, incidents and running totals are kept, so your history stays complete without storing what you do not need. Everything is stored in the EU.
Is it included with Cyber Risk Intelligence?
