How to claim from this airline

If your flight was delayed 3 hours or more, cancelled with less than 14 days' notice, or you were denied boarding because of overbooking, and the cause was the airline's responsibility, you are owed between €250 and €600. Claim from the airline in writing first; if it does not reply or refuses without a valid reason, you can escalate to the national enforcement body or the courts.

We explain it step by step in how to claim. More in flight compensation and passenger rights, or work out your case with the calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Can I claim from this airline even if it is low-cost?

Yes. All airlines, including low-cost carriers, are covered by Regulation EU261. The ticket price does not change your rights.

How much am I owed?

Between €250 and €600 per passenger, depending on the flight distance, if you arrive 3 hours or more late and the cause is the airline's responsibility. The calculator gives you an estimated figure.

What if the airline refuses to pay?

Airlines often say no at first. If your case meets the conditions and the cause was not extraordinary, keep pushing, and escalate to the national enforcement body or the courts — most of these cases succeed.
